What age can children start coding?

What age groups does CodingChamp teach?

We teach students from grade 3 through grade 12, with courses grouped by grade band so lessons match each child's pace — from Scratch and Coding Basics for younger kids to Python and AI & Machine Learning for teens.

Is coding suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Most of our students start with no experience. The trainer begins at your child's level and moves at their pace.

Does my child need any prior experience?

No. For older students with some experience, the trial class helps us start them at the right level instead of repeating what they know.

Should my child learn Scratch or Python first?

Under about 10, or new to typing: Scratch. From about 11 with comfortable typing: Python is a great first language. In between, a few weeks of Scratch then Python works well.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. The first trial class is free, with no payment details needed. Your child meets a trainer, tries a short lesson, and we suggest a starting level.

What happens in a typical class?

A quick recap of last time, a new concept explained with an example, then most of the hour spent building a project together. Your child writes the code while the trainer guides, asks questions and helps them debug.

Are classes online or in person?

Classes are live online — 1:1 or in small groups, taught by real instructors over video call, across every time zone (India, US, Dubai, and beyond). We also have physical offices in Noida (Delhi NCR), Pune, and Bangalore, India, but you don't need to visit in person to join a class.

What do we need for a class?

A laptop, PC, or tablet with a webcam, plus a stable internet connection — that's it. No software installation is required for most beginner courses.

Do you provide class recordings?

Classes aren't recorded by default. If you'd like a recording to review, ask us and we'll record with your consent. Recordings are kept privately and deleted after a limited period (see our Child Safety Policy).

Do you teach students outside India?

Yes. While most of our students are in India, we've taught students abroad as well — for example, one of our Photoshop students is based at Fairmead Elementary School in the USA.

How does the learning path work?

There are six levels, from computational thinking to Scratch, Python, web development, AI and advanced projects. Where your child starts and which route they take depends on their age, grade, experience, interests and school curriculum.

Can the classes complement school learning?

Yes. Learning paths are designed to complement school and can be mapped to the concepts in your child's grade and board (CBSE, ICSE, state boards, IB, IGCSE and others). CodingChamp is independent and not affiliated with any board.

Yes, and it doesn't change the price, because every course costs the same.

How much do classes cost?

One simple price for every course: a pack of 8 live 1:1 classes of 60 minutes each. The Pricing page shows the current price in your local currency and what's included. Need-based discounts may be available, so talk to us.

What if my child misses a class?

Accepted Answer

Tell us at least 24 hours before and we'll reschedule at no cost. A class missed without notice counts as used. If we cancel, you get a free make-up class.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. You can cancel the rest of your pack at any time and we refund the unused classes, less any payment gateway charges. See our Refund, Cancellation & Chargeback Policy.

How do you keep children safe online?

Classes happen only at scheduled times through our class link, parents are welcome to be present, trainers never contact students privately, and all communication goes through parents. Our Child Safety Policy sets out every rule and how to report a concern.
